The Analytics Engineer plays a central role in the company’s data ecosystem, ensuring that data across the organization is reliable, well-structured, and accessible.
This role focuses on preventing data silos and enabling data-driven decision-making by translating business requirements into governed, high-quality analytics data. You will work closely with analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to maximize the value derived from data at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute global data management and data governance initiatives across multiple regions
Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver analytics-ready datasets
Design data access environments that balance usability, security, and cost efficiency
Perform data modeling and build analytics data marts aligned with quality and compliance standards
Manage and operate analytics data assets in accordance with governance policies
Maintain and organize metadata across analytics platforms
Design, develop, and operate dashboards in collaboration with analysts and data engineers
Create documentation and training materials to promote effective data usage across teams
Support internal stakeholders in fully utilizing analytics tools and platforms
Required Qualifications
Experience
At least 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, or Data Engineer
Minimum of 2 years’ experience using SQL to design and operate dashboards and data marts
Experience using version control systems such as Git-based repositories
Experience building and operating analytics platforms in cloud environments (GCP or AWS preferred)
Experience delivering production-ready code through team-based code review processes
Native-level or business-fluent Japanese proficiency (equivalent to JLPT N1)
Preferred Qualifications
Business-level English communication skills
Knowledge of data management frameworks such as DMBOK or similar standards
Experience with analytics engineering tools such as dbt, Dataform, or equivalent
Strong documentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience designing or automating CI/CD workflows
Technology Environment
Cloud platforms: Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS
SQL-based analytics and data modeling
Analytics engineering tools (e.g., dbt, Dataform)
