Role Overview

A large technology group operating multiple financial technology businesses is seeking a Data Science Engineer to help leverage large-scale data assets. The role focuses on developing data-driven systems and services across various financial platforms such as payments, banking, investment services, insurance, and loyalty programs.

Department Overview

The organization provides a wide range of financial technology solutions, including digital payments, credit services, reward programs, online banking, securities trading platforms, and insurance-related services. These businesses generate significant volumes of data that support innovation and service improvement.

Purpose of the Role

This position supports the development of data-driven products and internal systems by utilizing large datasets across the company’s financial service ecosystem. The successful candidate will work on building analytics infrastructure, applying machine learning techniques, and generating insights to support business decisions and new service initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data analysis and data processing infrastructure.

  • Develop, train, and maintain machine learning models.

  • Conduct data analysis to support business strategies and operational decision-making.

  • Identify opportunities for new services and improvements based on analytical insights.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Approximately 5+ years of experience in data analysis, or

  • Approximately 5+ years of experience developing and managing machine learning models.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with public cloud platforms, such as AWS or similar cloud environments.

Employment Structure
  • The role may involve assignment or secondment within a financial services subsidiary of a larger technology group.

  • The specific business unit or subsidiary will be determined during the hiring process and communicated to candidates at a later stage.
