Position Overview
This role combines field application support and product management responsibilities for life science research instruments. The position serves as a technical specialist supporting sales activities while also providing post-installation application support to customers. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between local customers and global teams, ensuring effective product adoption and supporting future product expansion in the Japanese market.
In addition to customer-facing activities, this role includes localization of technical materials, coordination of regulatory requirements, and support for import/export documentation related to scientific instruments and consumables.
Key Responsibilities

Provide technical explanations of product applications during customer meetings

Deliver presentations at scientific conferences, seminars, and webinars

Conduct product demonstrations for prospective and existing customers

Offer product training and operational guidance after installation

Troubleshoot applications and optimize experimental workflows

Serve as the local product representative, collaborating with global teams

Gather market and technical feedback to support business strategy

Localize technical documents (catalogs, manuals, specifications) into Japanese

Support regulatory compliance and documentation for consumables and future product lines

Assist with import/export–related documentation processes
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related discipline
-
At least three years of experience in life science, research instruments, or related technical roles (applications support, technical sales support, or customer-facing scientific roles)

Practical experience using laboratory or analytical equipment (industry experience such as pharmaceutical environments is considered valuable)

Business-level English for email communication and participation in global meetings

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally

Ability to assess customer needs, optimize protocols, and translate scientific requirements into technical solutions
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher in life sciences or related field

Strong experimental design and data analysis/interpretation capabilities
Travel

Domestic travel several times per month

Occasional international travel (up to approximately two weeks)

職務概要
本ポジションは、ライフサイエンス研究機器に関するフィールドアプリケーション業務とプロダクトマネジメント業務を兼任する役割です。営業活動を技術面から支援するとともに、導入後のアプリケーションサポート（トラブルシューティング、プロトコル最適化、操作指導など）を通じて、顧客が製品を最大限活用できるよう支援します。
また、日本市場における製品展開を支えるため、技術資料のローカライズ、規制対応、輸出入関連書類のサポートなどにも携わります。グローバルチームと国内顧客をつなぐ技術的な窓口としての役割も担います。
主な業務内容

顧客商談における製品アプリケーションの技術説明

学会、セミナー、ウェビナーでのプレゼンテーション

製品デモンストレーションの実施（新規・既存顧客向け）

必須要件
-
ライフサイエンスまたは関連分野の学士号
-
ライフサイエンス業界、研究機器業界、または関連技術職での実務経験3年以上
（アプリケーションサポート、技術営業支援、顧客対応業務など） -
研究機器・分析機器の使用経験（製薬企業等での経験も歓迎）

英語でのメール対応およびグローバル会議参加が可能なレベル
