Field Service Engineer – Infection Control Division
Position Overview
This role is responsible for supporting sterilization and washing equipment used in hospital Central Sterile Supply Departments (CSSD). These departments manage the cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical materials.
The position focuses on after-sales technical service for installed equipment, including maintenance, repair, and technical support. In addition, the role involves identifying service opportunities, supporting consumables expansion, and contributing to customer relationship management through solution-based proposals.
Key Responsibilities
Perform troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance
Document service activities, including intake records and formal service reports
Prepare and submit cost estimates for repair and maintenance work
Support equipment delivery, installation, commissioning, testing, and setup validation
Create and manage installation and completion documentation
Address customer complaints and escalate issues when necessary
Monitor and report product performance or quality concerns
Maintain assigned service vehicles, tools, and measuring instruments
Manage service-related sales opportunities and process related administrative tasks
Qualifications & Requirements
Technical Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of assigned infection control equipment
Foundational knowledge of sterilization and cleaning processes
Basic technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems
Effective communication and negotiation skills for on-site customer interaction
Additional Requirements
High school diploma or higher
Ability to collaborate effectively with customers and internal departments
Native-level or fluent Japanese proficiency
English language skills not required
