Field Sales Representative – Life Science Equipment (Pharmaceutical Focus)
Overview

A global manufacturer of precision instruments and laboratory solutions is seeking a Field Sales Representative to support its life science business in Japan. The company operates worldwide and is recognized for high-quality products and innovation across laboratory and industrial applications.

This role is responsible for driving sales growth within pharmaceutical accounts and expanding market share through both direct sales and distributor management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow business within pharmaceutical companies

  • Manage and support regional distributors

  • Drive revenue growth and increase market share for assigned product lines

  • Identify and acquire new pharmaceutical customers

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets

  • Deliver product demonstrations and conduct on-site seminars

  • Promote solution-based selling aligned with company values

Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong target-driven mindset

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Experience using CRM systems effectively

  • Solid understanding of sales strategy and territory planning

  • Ability to clearly explain product features and value propositions

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to understand customer challenges and propose tailored solutions

  • Ability to build trust with both end users and distribution partners

Minimum Qualifications
  • B2B sales experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

Preferred Qualifications
  • Sales experience with a scientific equipment distributor

  • Sales experience at a manufacturer of scientific instruments or laboratory consumables

  • English proficiency (reading and writing level)
