Objectives of the Position
Develop new markets for TPU and lead project initiatives, primarily focusing on Japan and other parts of Asia, to drive business performance and support long-term growth.
Build and execute strategies for market expansion by leveraging strong technical capabilities.
Maximize use of internal functions (such as R&D, Operations, Technical Development, and Sales) to support market entry and carry projects through to commercialization.
Establish and maintain relationships with key target accounts, offering tailored solutions to address customer needs.
Support existing business accounts as part of ongoing sales development and learning.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for the purpose of expanding new business opportunities.
Sales-Focused Responsibilities
Work toward achieving annual performance goals (e.g., net sales, contribution margin) for assigned accounts.
Strengthen relationships with client stakeholders across different functions to build deeper partnerships.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities by understanding market trends and product needs.
Manage distributors to improve sales effectiveness.
Handle Non-Conformance issues efficiently and ensure timely resolution.
Collaborate with local technical teams to support customer evaluations, product trials, and issue resolution.
Actively engage with regional and global teams to contribute to strategic initiatives in target markets.
Maintain and develop a robust pipeline of business opportunities.
As Market development
Monitor and analyze technology and market trends—including competitor activity and regulatory changes—and share insights with relevant business leaders.
Define and implement market development strategies aligned with broader team goals to support business growth targets.
Lead selected customer projects and new application initiatives for TPU from concept through to commercialization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including R&D, Technical Development, Operations, and Sales—to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Work in close coordination with product management and other departments to ensure seamless project execution as a unified team.
Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of growth opportunities.
Support technical project execution by aligning the right expertise and applying sound project management principles to ensure steady progress.

Share and establish effective practices across regions.
Develop and execute career development plans in line with internal frameworks.
Contribute strategic input based on industry and material insights, including market size, commercial potential, product performance, customer requirements, and real-world application examples.
Participate in international travel as needed to support new customer engagement and business expansion efforts.
Minimum Education & qualifications
Education
▪ Masters or Bachelor of chemical engineering, chemistry, Polymers, or related fields/Business administration
Working Experience
▪ Minimum 5 Years’ Experience of thermoplastic elastomer for sales position or business development position in Japanese TPE market
▪ Proven track record of developing and executing successful segment strategies and plans throughout an organization. In- depth knowledge of competitive dynamics and how to integrate segment marketing into the overall business strategy
Mandatory Skills Required
■ At least five years' experience in corporate sales
■ Experience in handling rubber, elastomer and plastics
■ Experience in new business development
▪ Effective Business Reporting / Communication in English
▪ Handling and customer management (claims, issues, specific requests, etc.)
Technical & Professional Knowledge
▪ Strong knowledge polymers (product properties, product development etc..) and/or applications (tech development, design, evaluation, requirements)
▪ Effective business reporting, communication & presentation in English & Japanese
▪ Handing & manage claims, issues, specific request etc. from customers
▪ Preferable Deep understanding & experience in Thermoplastics Elastomer Industry.
