Role Overview

The Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, managing staff, and driving sales performance. This role involves leading the retail team, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring the store consistently reflects the brand’s standards in both product presentation and customer service.

The position also acts as a connection between the local store team and the company’s broader retail operations, supporting alignment on business objectives and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
  • Recruit, train, and manage store staff while fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.

  • Support employee development and encourage strong performance and teamwork.

Customer Experience
  • Build strong relationships with customers and deliver a high level of personalized service.

  • Develop a loyal customer base through consistent engagement and exceptional in-store experiences.

Store Operations
  • Manage daily store activities including sales performance, operational processes, and inventory control.

  • Monitor key performance indicators and profitability while ensuring operational efficiency.

Visual Merchandising & Brand Standards
  • Ensure the store environment consistently reflects the brand’s identity and presentation standards.

  • Oversee product displays and maintain high-quality visual merchandising.

Business Collaboration
  • Work closely with regional retail leadership on recruitment, operational planning, and performance tracking.

  • Provide feedback to internal teams regarding customer trends, product performance, and purchasing needs.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Track store performance, budgets, and operational metrics.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, sales results, and customer engagement.

Candidate Profile
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in retail store management, ideally within premium or luxury fashion environments.

  • Proven experience leading retail teams and achieving strong sales performance.

Skills
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.

  • Experience building customer relationships and delivering personalized service.

  • Well-organized with a proactive and structured working style.

Industry Knowledge
  • Interest or experience in fashion, accessories, or jewelry retail.

  • Understanding of the Japanese retail market and customer expectations.

Additional Requirements
  • Experience managing teams of approximately 10 or more employees.

  • Fluency in Japanese and business-level English.
