Job Title: Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) – Generative AI & AI-Driven Development

Salary: 6,000,000 – 15,000,000 JPY per year (subject to experience, skills, and current compensation)
Includes a fixed overtime allowance of 45 hours per month; additional overtime will be paid separately.

Job Overview:
With the rapid adoption of generative AI, there is growing demand for engineers who can implement AI solutions for real business operations. The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) position focuses on moving beyond conceptual design to hands-on development, deployment, and operational improvements of AI systems, working directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with clients to understand business processes and knowledge, integrating them into AI/LLM solutions (RAG, agents, model workflows)
Develop prototypes and deploy production-ready systems using Python, TypeScript, etc.
Build, deploy, and operate AI platforms on cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Azure)
Contribute full-stack development including front-end, back-end, and data pipelines
Support implementation through client negotiations, user interviews, log analysis, and operational improvement planning
Monitor deployed systems, address data drift, and implement feature enhancements

Requirements:
3+ years of Python development experience and hands-on software lifecycle management
Experience with client-facing work including requirement gathering, user interviews, and negotiation
Ability to implement, deploy, and operate AI systems in real-world settings
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with generative AI, LLMs, RAG, or AI agents
Knowledge of MLOps and data pipelines
Experience deploying AI in large enterprises or SaaS/platform services
Familiarity with corporate IT infrastructure and security
Ability to read and create English technical documentation
