Investment Associate – Venture Capital (Technology & Healthcare)

Role Overview
This role will support investment activities within the technology and healthcare sectors. The Investment Associate will assist with deal sourcing, investment analysis, due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and reporting.
Working closely with senior investment professionals, the position provides exposure to the full investment lifecycle—from identifying potential investment opportunities to supporting portfolio companies after investment.
Key Responsibilities
Market and Company Research
Conduct industry and company research using both secondary data and primary research methods such as interviews and meetings.
Analyze markets, competitors, management teams, and business models.
Build financial analyses and forecasts based on company financial data and industry trends.
Prepare charts, reports, and presentation materials to communicate findings.
Deal Sourcing
Build and maintain relationships with potential deal sources, including venture capital firms, entrepreneurs, corporate partners, and professional networks.
Stay informed about industry developments in business, finance, technology, and healthcare sectors.
Identify and screen potential investment opportunities according to internal investment criteria.
Investment Execution
Due Diligence
Support the evaluation of potential investments through detailed market and company research.
Participate in company meetings and gather relevant information about operations, customers, and industry dynamics.
Financial Analysis & Valuation
Build financial models and valuation analyses.
Prepare capitalization tables and scenario analyses to evaluate potential investments.
Investment Documentation
Assist in preparing internal investment memos, presentations, and supporting documentation for investment decisions.
Create visual materials such as charts and analytical summaries.
Support the preparation and processing of transaction documentation.
Exit Analysis
Conduct preliminary analysis of potential exit strategies such as acquisitions or public offerings.
Assist in preparing documentation related to exit processes.
Portfolio Management
Monitor portfolio company performance and track key operating metrics.
Analyze economic and industry developments that may impact portfolio investments.
Assist with portfolio initiatives such as fundraising activities, strategic reviews, and operational support projects.
Maintain regular communication with portfolio companies at the working level.
Candidate Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
A graduate degree is advantageous but not required.
Experience
Approximately 2–7 years of professional experience.
Experience in investment banking, consulting, or related analytical roles is preferred.
Candidates from consulting backgrounds may also be considered if they have strong financial modeling skills.
Interest or experience in venture capital, technology, or healthcare sectors is highly desirable.
