Analytical Equipment Sales (Life Sciences)
Overview
This role is responsible for driving sales of life science imaging and analytical solutions through collaboration with microscope manufacturers and distribution partners. Primary customers include R&D, analytical, and quality control functions within private-sector organizations, as well as academic and government research institutions.
The position covers either Eastern or Western Japan and involves a mix of direct sales activity and broader market development initiatives such as seminars, exhibitions, and academic conference participation.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and sell life science imaging and analysis products, including confocal microscopy–related systems and image analysis software
Execute sales activities within assigned key accounts or geographic territory
Manage and coordinate projects with OEM partners (microscope and analytical equipment manufacturers) and distributors
Develop new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers
Lead the full sales cycle, including opportunity creation, technical discussions, negotiations, order management, and delivery coordination
Support issue resolution and ongoing account management for installed customers
Maintain accurate and timely updates in the CRM and sales tracking systems
Qualifications / Requirements
Experience
Several years of sales experience in analytical instruments, physicochemical equipment, or microscopy-related products
Proven experience selling into the life sciences market
Channel or distributor management experience preferred
Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets
Skills
Strong stakeholder communication and relationship-building capabilities
Effective negotiation and proactive sales approach
Solid business writing and presentation skills
Education & Language
Bachelor’s degree or higher
English proficiency preferred (TOEIC ~600 level as a guideline)
