Overview

This role is responsible for driving sales of life science imaging and analytical solutions through collaboration with microscope manufacturers and distribution partners. Primary customers include R&D, analytical, and quality control functions within private-sector organizations, as well as academic and government research institutions.

The position covers either Eastern or Western Japan and involves a mix of direct sales activity and broader market development initiatives such as seminars, exhibitions, and academic conference participation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and sell life science imaging and analysis products, including confocal microscopy–related systems and image analysis software

  • Execute sales activities within assigned key accounts or geographic territory

  • Manage and coordinate projects with OEM partners (microscope and analytical equipment manufacturers) and distributors

  • Develop new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers

  • Lead the full sales cycle, including opportunity creation, technical discussions, negotiations, order management, and delivery coordination

  • Support issue resolution and ongoing account management for installed customers

  • Maintain accurate and timely updates in the CRM and sales tracking systems

Qualifications / Requirements
Experience
  • Several years of sales experience in analytical instruments, physicochemical equipment, or microscopy-related products

  • Proven experience selling into the life sciences market

  • Channel or distributor management experience preferred

  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets

Skills
  • Strong stakeholder communication and relationship-building capabilities

  • Effective negotiation and proactive sales approach

  • Solid business writing and presentation skills

Education & Language
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • English proficiency preferred (TOEIC ~600 level as a guideline)
