Position Overview:
This executive-level role is responsible for leading the company’s marketing strategy and operations in Japan. The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will oversee market planning, consumer research, public relations, and campaign execution, while also driving sales and brand growth. The role requires close collaboration with other senior leaders to ensure marketing efforts align with broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to the Japanese market
Lead market planning and consumer research initiatives
Oversee public relations, government and medical affairs, and event-based marketing such as pop-ups and consumer campaigns
Manage digital, social media, and online-to-offline (O2O) marketing channels
Provide leadership across the marketing function, ensuring alignment with company goals
Build strong relationships with regional offices and stakeholders across all levels
Support brand visibility and customer engagement through innovative campaigns
Qualifications:
Passion for tea is essential
Deep expertise in Japanese market planning and consumer research
Experience in public affairs, PR, medical affairs, and event marketing
Strong command of digital and social media marketing, including O2O strategies
Proven leadership and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Business-level English proficiency required; Chinese language skills are a plus
Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred)
Experience in fast-paced industries such as beverages, coffee, tea, restaurants, or quick-service retail is a plus
