This is a newly created position.

[Desired Level]

We are looking for candidates equivalent to internal roles from Leader to Assistant Manager level.
The ideal age range is 32 to 47 years old.

[Team Structure]

This position belongs to the Operations Department, specifically in the Demand Planning Team.

  • Operations Department: Approximately 20 members

  • Demand Planning Team: 3 members including this position

  • Reporting Line: Reports to the Demand Planning Senior Manager

    (a French national; communication is in English)

[Selection Process]

  • 1st Interview: With the Demand Planning Senior Manager + HR (in English & Japanese)

  • 2nd Interview: With the Operations Director + Demand Planning Senior Manager (in person)

[Compensation Budget]

  • Leader Level: Fixed annual salary up to approx. ¥6.3 million + incentive bonus

  • Assistant Manager Level: Fixed annual salary up to approx. ¥7.5 million + incentive bonus

    Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills.

Breakdown:

  • Fixed Annual Salary

    = Monthly salary × 14 months

    (Includes two seasonal bonuses and 40 hours of deemed overtime pay)

  • Incentive Bonus Standard

    = 10% of fixed annual salary

    (Monthly salary × 4 months × 10%, variable based on company and individual performance)

[Work Style]

  • Employees are required to work in the office 2 days per week.

  • Remote work is allowed

    on the remaining weekdays.

    (Example: For a 5-day workweek: 2 days in-office, 3 days remote)

Position Overview and Mission

The Demand Planning team is at the heart of business planning, working closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and the Leadership team in Japan, as well as the supply planning teams in Geneva and Manosque. The team is split into two areas: Demand Planning/Forecasting and Procurement. This role focuses on demand planning for assigned brands, collaborating with the Senior Demand Planning Manager, and coordinating with Procurement, Logistics, and Customer Service & Support within Japan.

 

Job Responsibilities

1. Forecasting (60%)

  • Lead the local S&OP

    process to ensure accurate, insight-driven forecasts

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business goals

  • Build strong relationships across Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration (20%)

  • Collaborate

    within the Demand Planning team

  • Work closely with Logistics, Sales, Marketing, and Finance departments

3. Other Support Tasks (10%)

  • Forecasting of training materials, samples, and testers

  • Forecasting for packaging such as wrapping and boxes

4. Supply Planning (10%)

  • Support the supply planning function

 

Requirements

English Proficiency: High Business to Fluent

  • Able to participate in meetings, discussions, and debates in English

  • Can independently prepare English materials and presentations

  • Can handle professional English communication via email

Must-Have

  • 2+ years of experience in the retail or FMCG supply chain sector

    (including S&OP or Procurement)

  • Financial knowledge and data analysis experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Japanese fluency at N1 level or higher

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in Demand Planning

  • Background in cosmetics, fashion/apparel, or owned-brand retail
