About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to support cutting-edge 3D vision systems that are transforming the global manufacturing industry. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and support of advanced 3D inspection technologies used in automotive and precision machinery applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure 3D sensors and related software into robotic dispensing systems.

  • Provide training for customers, system integration partners, and distributors.

  • Manage technical documentation, software version control, and customer-specific scan data.

  • Deliver on-site technical support, including system setup, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

  • Conduct customer visits (approximately three times per month, including visits outside Kanagawa Prefecture).

  • Collaborate with global teams; product documentation and meetings may be conducted in English.

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Experience setting up Windows-based software or hardware systems.

  • Background in electrical/electronic technical support (e.g., automotive, manufacturing, robotics, machinery, or dispensing industries).

  • Ability to travel domestically about three times per month.

  • Business-level English (ability to read specifications and participate in meetings with global teams).

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of vision systems, multi-axis robotics, or adhesive application.

  • Established connections within Japanese automotive manufacturers.
