Role Summary
This is a strategic leadership opportunity to build and scale the sales function in Japan. The Head of Sales will be responsible for launching go-to-market initiatives, leading the local sales organization, and driving sustained revenue growth. The ideal candidate will own sales strategy and execution, including customer acquisition, retention, pricing, and strategic partnerships. This position reports directly to the country CEO.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and go-to-market strategy for the Japanese market
Define pricing models across all product lines in coordination with the product team
Drive customer success through retention, satisfaction, and revenue expansion
Build relationships with key stakeholders including real estate investors, asset managers, developers, REITs, and property management firms
Lead a high-performing team covering the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals
Recruit, mentor, and grow a local sales team aligned with market scale and growth
Own and optimize customer onboarding, training, and long-term engagement processes
Track and report key performance indicators, sales pipeline metrics, and market insights to senior leadership
Represent the company at major industry events, networking forums, and PropTech conferences
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnerships within SaaS, PropTech, or the real estate technology sector in Japan
Proven ability to build sales pipelines, close enterprise-level deals, and consistently meet revenue targets
Experience launching or scaling new products in regional or startup environments
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency (spoken and written)
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with real estate CRM, property management software, or PropTech ecosystems
Established network within Japan's residential property and real estate operations sector
Solid grasp of SaaS business models, KPIs, and go-to-market mechanics
Cross-border business acumen and understanding of real estate markets in APAC
