【JOB RESPONSIBILITIES】

As a Near Patient Nurse at this organization, you will be essential in providing effective medical case management and support within the TRICARE program. Collaborating with doctors, quality teams, and healthcare professionals, you'll help coordinate care for U.S. military members and their families in Japan. Your duties will involve both in-person and virtual case management, direct communication with patients and providers, maintaining clinical quality standards, and ensuring a reliable provider network. This role is active and mobile, involving frequent travel and significant interaction with both patients and medical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee inpatient cases and coordinate treatment plans with both local healthcare providers and military medical facilities.
  • Visit providers regularly to gather and update medical information.
  • Assist with audits, provider credentialing, and continuous clinical quality reviews.
  • Engage with TRICARE beneficiaries to address concerns and ensure clear communication.
  • Deliver in-person and phone-based support while keeping accurate medical records.
  • Work collaboratively on escalated cases and quality-related investigations.
  • Take part in training sessions, professional development, and team meetings.

【REQUIREMENTS】 

  • Licensed Registered Nurse with over three years of clinical experience in current country of practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in English with Japanese language skills preferred
  • Proven background in case management, collaborative care, and navigating healthcare systems
  • Skilled in medical documentation, quality assurance practices, and coordinating patient care
  • Flexible and mobile, with readiness to travel locally and provide support to remote areas as needed

【WELCOME SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE】

  • Experience in hospital settings, conducting provider audits, or working within U.S. military healthcare environments
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
