Overview:
A global technology services and consulting firm is seeking a Network Engineer with expertise in SD-WAN administration. The role involves managing enterprise-level production network environments, supporting critical business applications, and leading technical operations in data center and branch network infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage production network environments supporting 100+ users.
Oversee data center network operations for business-critical and mission-critical applications.
Handle escalated incidents and high-priority support tickets.
Assess risks and impacts, and participate in major infrastructure changes.
Develop performance reports and dashboards; support capacity planning.
Lead technical teams and manage vendor relationships.
Support technical transitions and maintain thorough documentation.
Design, migrate, and upgrade existing network infrastructure.
Technical Skills:
Required:
Strong experience in SD-WAN configuration and administration.
Expertise in designing, configuring, and implementing data center and branch networks using Nexus, Layer 2/3 switches.
Proficient in LAN and data center networking technologies (Gigabit Ethernet, VLANs, STP, VTP, etc.).
Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP).
Experience with wireless infrastructure (WLC/AP), including operational support and configuration.
Familiarity with Cisco ACI, NSX, SDN, SDA, and DNAC technologies.
Network security experience with firewalls (Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto), and identity services (ISE).
Understanding of DNS, DHCP, NTP, and wireless technologies (Cisco/Aruba).
Experience with platforms such as Cisco Nexus, F5 BigIP, Infoblox, Riverbed, and Cisco WLS.
Ability to configure and troubleshoot network optimization tools (e.g., Riverbed, Cisco WAAS).
Preferred:
Experience in wireless network design and implementation.
Qualifications:
1–3 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on SD-WAN.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Ability to lead technical teams and manage transitions from onsite to offshore environments.
