Job Description

Position: Project Manager
Location: Koto City, Tokyo, Japan (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-time

About Us

Guided by our core value of Empathy, we strive to automate the “difficult, dirty, and dangerous” tasks, enabling people to focus on more creative and intellectual pursuits. Our work centers on developing robotics platforms and intelligent solutions powered by cutting-edge control and AI technologies, while also supporting their deployment and operation across industries.

We have secured over 10 billion yen in funding to date and continue to expand steadily each year. With a diverse team of more than 200 professionals representing 30+ nationalities, we operate in Japan, India, and the United States. We are now seeking motivated individuals to help us accelerate the robotics revolution.

Role Overview

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in leading stakeholders both inside and outside the company to ensure the smooth initial deployment of our robotics solutions at logistics sites.

Depending on your background, you may be responsible for projects of varying scales, from mid-sized implementations to large deployments worth billions of yen. This role provides the opportunity to enhance your market value while working directly with cutting-edge robotics technologies.

You will be expected to manage additional requirements that may arise under tight deadlines, break down complex challenges, and make clear, principle-driven decisions. A strong ability to balance customer needs, negotiate scope effectively, and align internal teams will be essential to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proposal Support:

Collaborate with consultants and analysts to understand client needs and design effective solutions. For smaller, standardized projects, you may lead the proposal phase independently, including direct client engagement.

  • Implementation Leadership:

Oversee the full implementation process, working closely with engineers, clients, vendors, and internal developers to ensure a successful rollout through UAT (User Acceptance Testing).

  • Post-Implementation Handover:

Ensure a smooth transition to the operations team after go-live by sharing documentation, design rationale, project background, and known issues to support stable system operation.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should bring one or more of the following experiences (or equivalent skills and motivation):

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in IT, digital transformation, or logistics, overseeing projects from kickoff through to completion.

  • Experience handling requirements gathering, design, implementation, and go-live for enterprise systems.

  • Logistics industry experience, including stakeholder negotiations, process improvements, and leading operational changes.

  • Background in system engineering or consulting for large-scale solutions (e.g., WMS, ERP), from requirements definition through release.

  • Native-level Japanese proficiency (JLPT N1 or higher), with strong communication skills and understanding of Japanese business practices.

  • Ability to use English effectively in a professional environment.

  • Previous corporate project management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing production equipment or related solutions.
