Position: Senior Business Development Manager

Overview
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to lead market expansion efforts in Japan, focusing on medium-to-large enterprise clients. This role requires extensive experience in cybersecurity or IT (8+ years) and strong leadership skills to build and scale local operations while aligning with global strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Market Strategy: Develop and implement business development plans for Japan to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Team Leadership: Build and manage a local sales team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Executive Client Engagement: Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with C-level executives at key enterprise clients.
Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to shape differentiated go-to-market strategies tailored for Japan.
Global & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with international headquarters and internal teams to align Japan’s operations with global objectives.
Partner Development: Build and strengthen relationships with local distributors, resellers, and system integrators to expand market coverage.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher with a minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT. Proven business track record in Japan preferred.
Strong business strategy and operational management skills, with the ability to independently scale local operations.
Deep understanding of Japanese business culture and practices; fluent in Japanese with strong English communication skills.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities, particularly with executives and strategic partners.
Experience working in multinational environments with resilience and adaptability.
Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM tools for managing clients and opportunities.
