Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business development, deals, and contracts to increase revenue for the Licensing Division in Japan.

  • Negotiate with and secure new licensees to grow royalty income, including executing license agreements and renewals.

  • Present business proposals and gain approval from licensors and brand clients.

  • Project and achieve the Division’s budget, managing key strategic partnerships to establish core revenue streams.

  • Develop a focused licensing strategy for both new and existing properties and brand clients, creating synergies across programs.

  • Lead trade marketing plans and events, supporting licensees’ marketing initiatives.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on short- and long-term strategic direction for the Licensing Division.

  • Oversee quality control, analyze sales performance, and support marketing efforts by licensees.

  • Assist sales executives with contract negotiations, renewals, and associated legal processes, coordinating with overseas offices.

  • Build relationships with key retailers to implement effective, unique retail promotions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree.

  • Fluent in English (TOEIC 880+), both written and spoken.

  • Extensive experience in licensing and/or retail business.

  • Strong knowledge of entertainment, fashion, apparel, collectibles, food, and retail concessions.

  • Experience in the consumer products industry; brand management or fashion background preferred.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

  • Attentive, patient, and demonstrates career stability.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
