Service Engineer – Japan Service Center

Overview / ポジション概要

This role is responsible for the repair and maintenance of sports medicine, orthopaedic, and endoscopy-related equipment. The position supports daily service center operations, ensures compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) standards, and helps maintain fast, accurate turnaround times for customers across Japan.

Key Responsibilities / 主な業務内容

  • Repair and service medical equipment efficiently while meeting target turnaround times and first-time fix goals

  • Follow QMS requirements and internal service procedures defined by the global service organization

  • Manage spare parts and service inventory with accuracy and accountability

  • Support audit activities, including requirements related to ISO 13485

  • Maintain complete and accurate service records and technical documentation

  • Implement required hardware and software updates for all applicable devices

  • Work closely with internal teams such as sales, customer support, and quality assurance

  • Adhere to company policies, code of conduct, and service operation standards

  • Ensure tools, test devices, and repair equipment are maintained in proper working condition

Requirements / 必須条件

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field

  • 3+ years of experience in technical service or biomedical engineering, preferably within the healthcare or medical device sector

  • Medical Device Repair License (Categories 1, 3, 5) preferred

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across functions

  • Reliable, proactive, and collaborative work style

  • Ability to lift and move items up to 20 kg independently

  • Minimal travel requirement (approximately 5% or less)

  • English reading and writing at a conversational level
