Service Engineer – Japan Service Center

Overview / ポジション概要
This role is responsible for the repair and maintenance of sports medicine, orthopaedic, and endoscopy-related equipment. The position supports daily service center operations, ensures compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) standards, and helps maintain fast, accurate turnaround times for customers across Japan.
Key Responsibilities / 主な業務内容

Repair and service medical equipment efficiently while meeting target turnaround times and first-time fix goals

Follow QMS requirements and internal service procedures defined by the global service organization

Manage spare parts and service inventory with accuracy and accountability

Support audit activities, including requirements related to ISO 13485

Maintain complete and accurate service records and technical documentation

Implement required hardware and software updates for all applicable devices

Work closely with internal teams such as sales, customer support, and quality assurance

Adhere to company policies, code of conduct, and service operation standards

Ensure tools, test devices, and repair equipment are maintained in proper working condition
Requirements / 必須条件

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field

3+ years of experience in technical service or biomedical engineering, preferably within the healthcare or medical device sector

Medical Device Repair License (Categories 1, 3, 5) preferred

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across functions

Reliable, proactive, and collaborative work style

Ability to lift and move items up to 20 kg independently

Minimal travel requirement (approximately 5% or less)

English reading and writing at a conversational level
