Role Overview
A global consumer goods company is seeking a Trade Marketing Specialist to lead the planning and execution of in-store marketing strategies and consumer activation campaigns. The role focuses on enhancing product visibility and driving sales through effective use of brand assets, point-of-sale materials (POSM), and strategic retail engagement. The position also involves supporting sales teams with tools and training to ensure consistent and high-quality execution across retail environments.
Key Responsibilities
Consumer Activation Planning
Develop national and customized consumer activation campaigns using brand assets
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align campaigns with business opportunities
Ensure campaigns are tailored to both national and regional needs
In-Store Visibility & POSM Development
Design and implement POSM strategies that balance global brand guidelines with local market requirements
Work closely with marketing, global trade marketing, and sales teams to create effective materials
POSM Management & Optimization
Oversee POSM supply chain, cost efficiency, and operational processes
Provide guidance to sales teams on POSM usage and forecasting
Sales Team Enablement
Conduct training sessions on the “perfect store” concept for field sales and key account teams
Improve execution quality through feedback, direction, and strategic support
Trade Show Representation
Coordinate with sales teams to maximize brand exposure at trade shows
Budget Oversight
Manage assigned budgets and ensure efficient allocation through proactive planning
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in trade marketing within the FMCG sector
Sales experience is a strong advantage
Skills & Knowledge
Strong leadership and initiative in managing assigned responsibilities
Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitor activity in FMCG
Intermediate English proficiency (spoken and written) for communication with regional/global teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
