Role Overview

A global consumer goods company is seeking a Trade Marketing Specialist to lead the planning and execution of in-store marketing strategies and consumer activation campaigns. The role focuses on enhancing product visibility and driving sales through effective use of brand assets, point-of-sale materials (POSM), and strategic retail engagement. The position also involves supporting sales teams with tools and training to ensure consistent and high-quality execution across retail environments.

Key Responsibilities

Consumer Activation Planning

  • Develop national and customized consumer activation campaigns using brand assets

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align campaigns with business opportunities

  • Ensure campaigns are tailored to both national and regional needs

In-Store Visibility & POSM Development

  • Design and implement POSM strategies that balance global brand guidelines with local market requirements

  • Work closely with marketing, global trade marketing, and sales teams to create effective materials

POSM Management & Optimization

  • Oversee POSM supply chain, cost efficiency, and operational processes

  • Provide guidance to sales teams on POSM usage and forecasting

Sales Team Enablement

  • Conduct training sessions on the “perfect store” concept for field sales and key account teams

  • Improve execution quality through feedback, direction, and strategic support

Trade Show Representation

  • Coordinate with sales teams to maximize brand exposure at trade shows

Budget Oversight

  • Manage assigned budgets and ensure efficient allocation through proactive planning

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field

  • 3–5 years of experience in trade marketing within the FMCG sector

  • Sales experience is a strong advantage

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong leadership and initiative in managing assigned responsibilities

  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitor activity in FMCG

  • Intermediate English proficiency (spoken and written) for communication with regional/global teams

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Effective presentation and communication skills
