Position: Engineering Generalist
Location: Okayama or Yokohama (frequent business trips to Okayama required)
Travel: Domestic and international business trips approximately 2–3 times per year
Internal Stakeholders: Sales teams
External Stakeholders: Domestic and global chemical manufacturers, energy infrastructure companies (gas, power), engineering firms, water treatment plants

Role Overview

This role is responsible for a wide scope of project engineering activities, including design, procurement, production coordination, assembly oversight, and final delivery of equipment such as electrolysis systems. The position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary engineers to design equipment used in water treatment facilities, chemical plants, and power generation sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and mechanical engineering for electrolysis-related systems
    Performance Level: C (suitable for mid-career engineers)

    • Process design related to electrochemical systems

    • Mechanical design and sizing of components such as pumps and tanks

    • Acquire foundational electrolysis knowledge over the first 1–2 years

Performance Level Definitions

  • A: Fully independent and able to guide others

  • B: Works independently with minimal direction

  • C: Works with standard guidance

  • D: Requires frequent supervision

  • E: No experience

Qualifications

  • 3–4+ years of experience in chemical plant or water treatment equipment design, or in process/mechanical design

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline (Applied Chemistry, Materials, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc., or a relevant technical college degree)

  • Basic English communication skills preferred

  • Native-level Japanese proficiency

  • Knowledge of chemistry or physics is a plus

Engineering roles are divided into

  • Mechanical, piping, and process

  • Electrical and instrumentation

Engineers are involved across multiple phases, including equipment layout, piping route design, procurement specifications, vendor evaluation, technical discussions, testing, installation, commissioning, and operator training.
Projects range from several months to two years, providing opportunities to gain diverse skills and contribute to meaningful industrial infrastructure.

■職務概要

電解装置をはじめとする機器の設計、調達、製造・組立管理、納品までを一貫して担当するポジションです。水処理施設、化学プラント、発電所向け設備の設計を、他分野のエンジニアと連携しながら遂行していただきます。

■主な業務内容

  • 電解関連設備のプロセス設計および機械設計
    求められるレベル：C（中堅層を想定）

    • ポンプ・タンク等の機器設計とサイジング

    • 必要な電解の基礎知識は1～2年かけて習得可能

■パフォーマンスレベルの定義

  • A： 自立して遂行しメンバーの指導・評価が可能

  • B： 最小限の指導で遂行可能

  • C： 一般的な指導のもと遂行可能

  • D： 密な指導が必要

  • E： 経験なし

■応募資格

  • 化学プラントまたは水処理装置、またはプロセス／機械設計経験3～4年以上

  • 理系または工学系の学士以上（高専卒可）

  • 英語の初級レベル歓迎

  • 日本語ネイティブ

  • 化学・物理の知識があれば尚可
