Job Overview

A global mobility company undergoing digital transformation is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader to spearhead the growth of its software and connected services business in Japan. The role is part of a newly established global software division that aims to deliver advanced, personalized mobility experiences through cutting-edge technology.

This position will be responsible for business development, operational strategy, and partnership management, with a focus on scaling the software portfolio and meeting revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the software and connectivity business in the Japanese market.

  • Achieve revenue and profitability targets in alignment with the company’s mid- to long-term financial goals.

  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and revenue streams.

  • Oversee key operational metrics, ensuring stability and continuous improvement across business operations.

  • Enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring high-quality digital and connectivity experiences.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, aftersales, and product planning in Japan to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic vision.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership in Japan, offering insights and strategic input on software and connected services.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Solid understanding of software business models and automotive technology trends.

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including experience in sales and/or aftersales operations.

  • Proven leadership ability, strategic mindset, and a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive alignment across diverse teams.

  • Collaborative team player with a global mindset and the ability to work across organizational boundaries.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-accountability environment.

  • Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English is required.

  • Tokyo-based position.
