PR & Event Marketing Executive (B2B)

Role Summary

This position is responsible for supporting demand generation, lead acquisition, and brand visibility in the Japanese market through integrated public relations and event marketing initiatives. The role combines hands-on execution of events with strategic PR activities to strengthen brand awareness, enable sales engagement, and position the organization as a trusted thought leader in risk management and related professional services.

The role works cross-functionally with Sales, local and global Marketing teams, Product, Consulting, and Commercial Analytics to ensure alignment with business objectives and account-based marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Public Relations

  • Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and relevant industry organizations in Japan

  • Create and distribute press releases, media assets, and thought leadership content in Japanese

  • Track media coverage and prepare regular performance and coverage reports for internal stakeholders

  • Secure speaking and media opportunities for internal subject matter experts at conferences and industry events

Event Marketing

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing events such as webinars, seminars, conferences, and trade shows

  • Design event programs aligned with demand generation and account-based marketing goals

  • Manage external agencies, vendors, and event logistics to ensure professional execution

  • Produce event-related materials including invitations, presentations, and post-event summaries

  • Measure and analyze event effectiveness, including lead generation, engagement, and ROI metrics

Integrated Campaign Support

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and global stakeholders to align campaign messaging and objectives

  • Leverage PR and events as core channels within integrated marketing campaigns

  • Support lead nurturing and pipeline development initiatives connected to marketing campaigns

Market and Customer Insights

  • Monitor industry trends, market developments, and competitor activity within Japan

  • Reflect local market dynamics and cultural considerations in PR and event strategies to maximize impact

Required Skills and Experience

  • Business-level English and native-level Japanese proficiency, both written and spoken

  • Strong hands-on experience managing B2B PR and event marketing activities end-to-end

  • Solid understanding of media relations and event marketing best practices

  • Excellent project management and organizational capabilities

  • Proven ability to manage agencies, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with design tools or webinar platforms is advantageous

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in B2B event marketing and public relations

  • Background in professional services, consulting, or international organizations preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline
