【COMPANY OVERVIEW】
Tier 1 US Asset Management firm with around $500 billion USD AUM globally and a strong track record in alternative investments. The Tokyo office was established around 15 years ago and currently has around 100 employees. The Japan AUM is around 70 billion USD across all asset classes.
【JOB RESPONSIBILITIES】
Main responsibilities include:
Perform due diligence on fund investments, secondary investment and co-investment opportunities as well as industry and company research in APAC with main focus on Japan & Korea
in-depth valuation analysis (DCF etc) of private equity portfolios and private companies
Preparation of due diligence materials including investment committee memorandums
Attending meetings with private equity GPs
【REQUIREMENTS】
Minimum two years of M&A, private equity or Coverage Banking experience at an Investment Bank / Securities firm, M&A Boutique, Big4 Consultancy or Investment firm covering Japanese markets
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
Basic understanding of private equity market in Japan
LBO modelling skills are a big plus but not necessary
Languages: Proficient in English, native or fluent in Japanese. Korean language skills are a plus
