About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join the Japan team. This role will focus on overseeing the renovation and management of newly acquired properties in Japan, working closely with regional headquarters and local partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage FF&E procurement and renovation projects (planning, budgeting, design, procurement, tendering, execution, close-out)

  • Review and comment on construction documents (drawings, specifications, contracts)

  • Lead coordination with internal teams, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders

  • Monitor project progress, costs, and quality, ensuring timely delivery in collaboration with local developer partners

  • Support property pre-opening operations and senior management during project delivery and handover

  • Prepare reports, proposals, and contribute to business development activities

Requirements

  • Native-level Japanese, with business-level English proficiency

  • Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Building, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management (or equivalent)

  • 5+ years’ experience in project management (preferably in residential, serviced apartments, or hotel projects with consultancy or developer)

  • Strong knowledge of refurbishment, interior fit-out, and procurement

  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations

  • Highly responsible, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills; collaborative team player
