About This Position
This role is an Assistant Brand Manager for a retail hair color brand. You will support the Brand Manager in expanding brand value, sales, and market share through branding initiatives, new product development, and the planning and execution of launch strategies.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement mid- to long-term brand strategies.

  • Plan and execute product strategies, including new product launches and product renewals.

  • Prepare and deliver internal presentations related to the brand and projects.

  • Present to agencies and retail chains.

  • Create and manage annual budgets.

  • Prepare forecasts for new products.

  • Set KPIs and implement action plans to achieve goals.

  • Focus on the hair color and hair care industry.

  • Manage distribution primarily through retail channels such as drugstores, GMS, and variety stores.

  • Report to the Consumer Marketing Brand Manager.

  • Collaborate closely with internal departments (R&D, Supply Chain, Sales Planning, Sales, APAC Marketing Team) and external partners (agencies, research firms), actively leading projects.

  • Communicate effectively in English.

 

What Makes You a Good Fit

Must-Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing-related roles (including trade marketing or sales planning).

  • Experience in project management.

  • Experience working in roles requiring English communication.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) for presentations and data analysis.

  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English (speaking, reading, writing).

Nice-to-Have:

  • Marketing experience in a multinational company.

  • Experience in the beauty industry.

  • Experience in FMCG, retail, or fashion industries.
