Department Overview

This department is responsible for delivering infrastructure development, operations, and shared IT services to a wide range of clients. Its scope includes cloud platforms, servers, security, and overall IT operations.

The team manages hybrid infrastructure environments, visualizing operational status and identifying issues to implement integrated management, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives. With approximately 200 members, the department provides comprehensive infrastructure operation services across multiple industries.

Project Overview

This role supports customers utilizing public cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure. The objective is to standardize and automate services and operational processes to improve efficiency and deliver highly competitive managed cloud services. These services include cloud resource provisioning, system development support, migration, and ongoing operations.

The position also involves expanding hybrid operational models in collaboration with offshore partners and introducing new service offerings. As services scale, there will be a focus on operational transition (ITO), operational design, and shared delivery frameworks. This role will contribute to building scalable and in-demand managed cloud services.

Over time, the successful candidate may lead and manage managed service projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational services for projects involving public cloud platforms (primarily AWS and Azure), including infrastructure maintenance and management.

  • Support proposal activities, including operational cost estimation, operational design, and transition planning for new engagements.

  • Design and manage infrastructure operations as part of service delivery.

  • Evaluate and implement cloud-native solutions.

  • Support customers in designing and implementing requested cloud environments, acting as a cloud architect where needed.

  • Develop and institutionalize shared delivery models.

  • Promote and implement automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Conduct due diligence (DD), manage operational transitions, and lead discussions with clients in IT outsourcing engagements.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in operational design during the operational phase of public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).

  • Hands-on experience operating public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.

  • Experience in designing and building public cloud environments.

  • Ability to assess client environments, define ideal target states, and propose appropriate improvements.

  • Knowledge of operating systems including Windows Server, Linux, and Unix.

  • Business-level English proficiency (required for collaboration in hybrid operations with offshore teams).

  • Japanese language proficiency equivalent to JLPT N3 or above (for non-native speakers).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PaaS services in addition to IaaS (e.g., databases, containers).

  • Experience with multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

  • Experience implementing automation initiatives (e.g., Python, shell scripting).

  • Experience managing teams of multiple members.

  • Experience collaborating with overseas team members.
