Banquet Engineer
Job Description
■ Position Summary
The Banquet Engineer is responsible for providing technical support for banquets, meetings, and events within the hotel. This role handles the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio, visual, and lighting equipment to ensure the successful execution of events.
■ Key Responsibilities
• Set up, operate, adjust, and dismantle audio, visual, and lighting equipment for banquets and events
• Conduct equipment checks, rehearsals, and pre-event testing
• Coordinate closely with the Banquet Sales and Operations teams
• Maintain and manage banquet equipment and technical systems
• Supervise and coordinate external vendors and brought-in equipment
• Troubleshoot technical issues during live events
• Ensure compliance with hotel safety standards and operational procedures
■ Qualifications
Required
• Basic knowledge or hands-on experience with audio, visual, or lighting equipment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
Preferred
• Experience as a Banquet Engineer or event technician in a hotel or event venue
• Technical background in electrical or mechanical systems
• Basic English communication skills
