Position Summary

 

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Analyst to join our IT Operations team in Tokyo. This role provides end-user and desktop support across all functions of our trading business (Front, Middle, and Back Office).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational support for the end-user computing environment
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for desktop support issues, delivering clear and professional communication
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across in-house and vendor applications used in trading operations
  • Follow up and coordinate resolution for escalated incidents
  • Handle onboarding/offboarding processes for starters, movers, and leavers
  • Maintain and improve documentation using Confluence
  • Record, manage, and monitor incidents and service requests via Jira, ensuring timely updates to users and stakeholders
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of systems for efficient troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, test, and deliver enhancements
  • Contribute to improvements in desktop infrastructure and security standards
  • Execute deployments in accordance with change management procedures
  • Proactively monitor availability, capacity, and system performance
  • Participate in global projects, operational improvements, and governance activities
  • Share knowledge and mentor team members as needed
  • Provide after-hours support when required for major incidents or scheduled maintenance
