Global Brand Communications Specialist
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Reports to: Market Director, Japan
Role Overview
This role supports global and local brand communication initiatives, ensuring strong cross-team collaboration and delivering key communication tools, events, and brand assets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strengthen Collaboration Across Teams
Promote effective collaboration within the Brand Communications team.
Coordinate communication between Brand Communications and cross-functional teams such as Centers of Excellence and New Product teams.
Support alignment between global and local brand communication functions.
2. Lead and Support Event-Related Projects
Contribute to the consolidation of feedback for long-term (5-year) strategic planning focused on events.
Follow up on next steps defined in the 5-year strategic roadmap.
Support refinement of the 2025–2029 strategic plan for event-related initiatives.
Prepare for major events scheduled for 2026.
Manage budget planning for upcoming events and track related expenses.
Review event activation plans and local event proposals for the upcoming cycle.
3. Develop Brand Communication Tools
Support long-term strategy execution for brand communication initiatives.
Update brand assets such as brand books, videos, and CI guidelines as required.
Monitor communication tools and activities of key competitors in the region.
Manage planning for the global brand communication budget and track ongoing spending.
4. Brand Endorsement & Creative Projects
Support artistic collaborations, campaign planning, and transition plans.
Contribute to artwork management and delivery processes.
Organize production and delivery of brand endorsement creative assets.
Monitor competitor activities in brand endorsement communication.
Manage budgets for endorsement-related activities and track performance.
Consolidate local market activation summaries and communication reports.
Qualifications
5–10 years of marketing experience.
Bachelor’s degree or higher; international experience is a plus.
Strong communication skills in both English and Japanese (written and verbal).
Experience in branding, product development, FMCG, or beauty categories preferred.
Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
Experience handling large-scale events is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools.
