Global Supply Chain DX Sales
Role Summary
This role is responsible for full business development management with designated strategic customers in Japan. The mission is to deepen the value of the company’s services, drive new customer acquisition, expand existing contracts, and grow business globally under a global account model.
Based in Tokyo, you will plan, execute, and deliver business strategies while leading customer engagement across sales, marketing, delivery, and support. After completing onboarding and training in the first three months, you are expected to operate autonomously in alignment with company strategy.
As the owner of key strategic customers in Japan, this role has high visibility from global leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Own full business responsibility for assigned strategic customers in Japan and globally
Develop, execute, and deliver business plans aligned with customer strategy
Lead account strategy across Sales, Marketing, Delivery, and Support teams
Expand existing contracts and develop new business opportunities
Build and maintain strong, long-term customer partnerships
Explain service offerings and technical advantages from both business and technical viewpoints
Work closely with system integrators and partners to establish trusted relationships quickly
Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve team targets and maximize overall business impact
Lead internal alignment across departments to ensure outstanding customer experience
Strategic and Market Requirements
Analyze competitors and design effective sales strategies and tactics
Maintain strong understanding of industry trends, especially in manufacturing and supply chain
Experience in selling software, services, consulting, or outsourcing related to supply chain management
Solid experience with manufacturing industries including automotive, electronics, semiconductors, or machinery
Required Background
Proven experience managing major manufacturers or large parts suppliers over multiple years
Experience selling enterprise systems such as:
MRP, MES, Procurement, WMS, TMS, Order Management
Experience covering requirements definition, design, implementation, and support
Experience limited to “product-only” sales without system/business understanding is not sufficient
Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain structure (production, logistics, sales processes)
Familiarity with industry-specific supply chain models including:
Automotive logistics models such as milk-run, kanban, CKD/knock-down, delivery agency models
Experience with enterprise vendors or SI/consulting firms such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, JDA, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, E2Open
Required Skills and Qualifications
Approximately 10+ years of experience in the IT industry
Proposal-based sales experience in software, services, outsourcing, or consulting
Sales experience with large enterprise manufacturing customers
Practical knowledge in:
Supply chain management
Logistics operations
Production management
Sales and order management systems
Business-level English proficiency (TOEIC 600+ reference)
Experience selling to large Japanese enterprises
SI-related experience strongly preferred
Ability to build long-term business through excellent customer experience
Capability to manage demanding customer requests by balancing company capabilities and realistic expectations
