General Manager – Kyoto Gojo Area (Hotel)

We are seeking a true leader to take on the role of General Manager for a hotel located in the Kyoto Gojo area. This position is responsible for the overall direction of day‑to‑day operations, maximizing financial performance, developing people, and empowering teams to deliver memorable guest experiences.

The property is situated in a tranquil neighborhood close to Kyoto’s city center, offering convenient access for both leisure and business travelers. Facilities include on-site parking, meeting rooms, and a large communal bath with scenic views. The hotel values authentic connections, warm hospitality, and personalized service that creates lasting memories for every guest.

A Typical Day
Every day brings new challenges, but your responsibilities will generally include:
Developing programs and initiatives to enhance team engagement and achieve performance and development goals
Maintaining compliance with required brand and service standards and collaborating with colleagues to exceed guest expectations
Building strong relationships with guests and external stakeholders including clients, government officials, travel industry partners, vendors, and local communities
Leading annual capital, cash flow, sales, and marketing planning to accurately forecast budgets
Driving revenue growth, profitability, and long‑term return on investment

What We Need From You
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
Five to ten years of hotel management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience requirements may vary depending on property size and operational complexity
Fluent English proficiency; Japanese language ability is a plus
Additional language skills are preferred
