Role Overview
The Product Manager is responsible for leading the full product lifecycle of assigned medical aesthetic devices within the Japanese market. This role bridges global strategy and local market needs, ensuring successful product positioning, launch execution, and ongoing optimization.
Working cross-functionally with sales, clinical, regulatory, and global teams, the Product Manager drives commercialization success while incorporating clinical insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management, from concept assessment and regulatory planning through launch and post-launch optimization
Define product positioning and value propositions tailored to the Japanese medical aesthetics market, aligned with global strategy
Develop and manage product roadmaps, integrating clinical requirements, customer insights, and market trends
Own go-to-market strategies, including pricing frameworks, launch plans, messaging, and sales enablement tools
Partner closely with sales and clinical teams to ensure market readiness and accelerate early adoption
Initiate and manage local clinical studies, user evaluations, and case development in collaboration with key opinion leaders
Analyze the competitive landscape across energy-based and combination technologies to identify growth opportunities and differentiation
Build financial forecasts, business cases, and profitability analyses for new and existing products
Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including revenue, utilization, customer satisfaction, and market share
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3–5 years of product marketing experience within the medical device industry
Proven track record of managing successful product launches and commercialization initiatives
Ability to translate complex technologies into clear and compelling customer-facing messaging
Strong communication skills with demonstrated cross-functional leadership capabilities
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related discipline
Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English
Preferred Qualifications
Experience launching regulated or approved medical devices
Background in medical aesthetics, including energy-based or body-contouring technologies
Experience working in a multinational or global matrix organization
Exposure to collaboration with key opinion leaders, clinical research, or medical education programs
MBA or equivalent business qualification
