Job Summary
The Marketing Manager will take the lead in shaping, planning, and executing strategic marketing initiatives tailored to the Japanese market. This role ensures the company's brand and messaging are locally relevant while remaining aligned with global marketing goals. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
Develop and implement localized marketing strategies that align with global direction and company objectives
Assess market conditions, competitor activity, and customer behavior to adjust marketing approaches as needed
Identify market growth opportunities and propose innovative strategies to seize them
Market Research & Insights
Conduct and analyze research on consumer behavior, preferences, and competitive landscape
Use market data and trends to guide strategic decisions and campaign improvements
Monitor regulatory or industry developments impacting marketing efforts
Campaign Management
Adapt global marketing campaigns for local relevance and maximum impact
Lead integrated marketing initiatives across digital, social, content, and events
Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms while incorporating local cultural nuances
Manage internal creative teams and/or external agencies in campaign execution
Brand Development
Maintain and enhance brand presence in the local market while ensuring alignment with global identity
Create localized content and assets that increase visibility and resonate with the target audience
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with internal teams including product, sales, and operations to align marketing with business objectives
Build relationships with local vendors, partners, and influencers to strengthen brand presence
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals (if applicable), fostering growth and alignment with marketing strategy
Ensure the team operates effectively and meets established goals
Budget & Performance Management
Manage the marketing budget efficiently to maximize return on investment
Monitor campaign performance using KPIs such as ROI, lead generation, conversion rates, and brand awareness
Report insights and performance data to senior leadership on a regular basis

Required Qualifications
Must-Have:
Native-level Japanese, Business-level English
At least 3 years of experience in a Marketing Manager role within the consumer goods sector (media, PR, retail, etc.)
