Position Overview

The Allocator is responsible for optimizing sales performance and inventory levels across designated departments through effective in-season distribution from the distribution center (DC) to stores and e-commerce channels. This role also supports margin optimization through promotional and markdown strategies.

Success in this position requires the ability to analyze both quantitative and qualitative data and translate insights into actionable plans. The role also demands strong cross-functional collaboration with Merchandising, Planning, Logistics, Store Operations, and Field teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee product allocation from the distribution center to retail locations and online platforms, manage inter-store transfers, and coordinate reverse logistics back to the warehouse in accordance with buyer assortment strategies.

  • Develop and implement seasonal inventory allocation strategies aligned with product, investment, and commercial objectives.

  • Execute initial product launches and ensure effective in-season replenishment to maintain sales momentum and profitability.

  • Support purchase order execution by communicating divisional strategies related to pack configuration, pre-packs, size distribution, and inventory balancing across multiple inventory pools.

  • Lead analytical initiatives and collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities related to size performance, geographic trends, and store-specific attributes, ensuring proper execution of identified strategies.

  • Drive financial performance through the planning and execution of promotional and markdown strategies aligned with departmental and brand financial targets.

  • Manage forecasting, allocation, and service levels for core (basic) product categories within assigned departments.

  • Contribute to inventory process enhancements and support broader brand initiatives and projects.

  • Deliver measurable business results through effective daily management practices aligned with overall brand strategy, contributing to improved profitability and financial growth.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • 1–2 years of merchandising or buying experience; experience in luxury retail is preferred.

  • Business-level English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking preferred).

  • Strong teamwork skills, organizational awareness, and adaptability.

  • Solid understanding of the luxury retail market, products, and brand philosophy.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize effectively and maintain a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, along with a strong foundation in retail mathematics.
