About the Opportunity
A globally recognized luxury brand is seeking a PR Coordinator or PR Specialist to join its Watch & Fine Jewelry Division in Tokyo.
This position plays an essential role in strengthening the brand’s presence within the watches and fine jewelry category. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategic public relations initiatives that communicate the brand’s heritage, craftsmanship, and creative vision.
Working closely with internal teams, global headquarters, media partners, celebrities, and influencers, this role aims to enhance brand visibility, elevate desirability, and ultimately support commercial performance.
The final job title will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
PR Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement PR strategies aligned with both global and local objectives
Oversee daily PR operations for the Watch & Fine Jewelry category
Track competitor activity and provide market insights, analysis, and reporting
Media & Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain strong relationships with media representatives and manage interview requests and coverage negotiations
Organize and lead media outreach initiatives, including PR caravans
Cultivate and manage relationships with celebrities, brand ambassadors, and influencers
Proactively collaborate with both internal departments and external partners
Content Development & Asset Oversight
Draft and distribute press releases and other PR materials
Manage PR-related assets to ensure consistency in brand presentation
Oversee visual content production featuring local ambassadors and celebrity partners
Coordinate creative development in partnership with relevant teams
Events & Brand Activations
Plan and execute PR events, product presentations, and collaborative promotional activities
Lead influencer campaigns to generate social media engagement
Manage external PR agencies and related platforms
Support the execution of promotional initiatives tied to brand strategy
Global Coordination & Reporting
Participate in overseas interviews and international events (including Europe-based locations)
Engage in regular communication with global PR and regional teams
Prepare performance reports for headquarters and internal stakeholders
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the PR Manager, PR & Events Department – Watch & Fine Jewelry Division
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint – intermediate level or above; ability to use Excel functions required)
Strong digital literacy and adaptability to internal systems
Upper-intermediate to business-level English proficiency (equivalent to TOEIC 800+; strong speaking, reading, and writing skills)
Prior PR experience within luxury, fashion, watches and jewelry, or related industries preferred
