About the Role

The Pricing Analyst will be part of a newly created Commercial Pricing Team in Japan. This function is being built to strengthen pricing governance, improve discount management, and deliver measurable impact to the bottom line. The role requires strong analytical ability, cross-functional collaboration, and attention to detail in order to ensure commercial discipline and support margin improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end pricing process, including analysis, monitoring, and reporting of discounting activities.

  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Marketing to review deal structures and assess profitability.

  • Use pricing tools to evaluate requests against established price floors and margin thresholds.

  • Conduct root cause analysis on excessive discounting and help shape policy improvements.

  • Maintain accurate data across ERP systems, pricing tools, and Power BI dashboards.

  • Prepare and distribute monthly pricing KPI reports, ensuring compliance with governance standards.

  • Assist in standardizing pricing processes and supporting the creation of SOP documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.

  • 2–3 years of experience in pricing, commercial finance, or data analytics (additional commercial experience is a plus).

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably AX) and business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Excel.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into practical insights.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, matrixed environment.

  • Business-level English preferred to enable collaboration with global pricing teams and leverage best practices for the Japan market.
