Overview
This role involves leading production engineering activities focused on the design and optimization of manufacturing methods and processes for electrochemical components such as insoluble electrodes. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally to improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and cost performance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop production processes, including cost estimation and workflow planning
Improve quality and reduce production costs by refining high-volume manufacturing processes
Collaborate with raw material vendors and contractors on prototype evaluation and technical documentation
Engage with clients to finalize product requirements, oversee prototyping, and generate specification reports
Promote productivity, automation, and process innovation using IoT and digital transformation tools
Work Location
Based at the Kanagawa site (Fujisawa City)
Shuttle bus available from Shonandai Station
Accessible by public bus or taxi from Shonandai or Tsujido Stations
Team Structure
Join the Production Engineering Department, which currently consists of 11 members (including contract staff), with 7 engineers focused on design

Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or technical college diploma in a relevant field
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related engineering role
Language Skills:
Japanese applicants: Must be comfortable with English communication (mainly email); conversational English is an advantage
Non-native speakers: Business-level or higher proficiency in Japanese required
Technical Competencies:
Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
Mechanical engineering
Materials science
Process engineering
Electrochemistry or related technical domains
Strong task ownership and persistence
Willingness to travel (2–3 domestic/international trips annually)
Preferred:
Experience with AutoCAD
Familiarity with electrochemistry principles
Compensation
Monthly salary-based system
Annual compensation range: ¥5,000,000–¥8,250,000 (includes performance bonus)
Monthly base pay: ¥300,000–¥500,000

Final Interview (Senior Department Lead + HR Director)
