Position: Solution Consultant
Location: Tokyo, Chiyoda

Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Solution Consultant to support our sales team in Japan. In this role, you will serve as the primary product expert during the evaluation phase of the sales cycle. Partnering closely with the sales team, you will demonstrate how our solutions meet both business and technical requirements, communicate product value, address technical concerns, and ensure customer confidence throughout the sales process. Success in this role requires strong product knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with prospective clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and tailor demo environments to showcase product capabilities for various business use cases and industry verticals.

  • Develop and deliver product demonstrations, including data preparation, demo setup, and report generation.

  • Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to prepare proposals, technology demonstrations, development requirements, and schedules.

  • Represent the product to clients online, in-person at client locations, and at industry events such as conferences and seminars.

  • Partner with sales throughout the sales process and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Prepare responses to functional and technical aspects of RFIs and RFPs.

  • Translate customer requirements to Product Management and Technical Consultant teams as needed.

  • Convert new product features into internal training and demo materials and support onboarding of new staff.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in software sales, consulting, or professional services.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred.

  • Experience with B2B software platforms.

  • Willingness to learn and develop expertise in intellectual property (IP) is strongly preferred, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, or domains.

  • Strong presentation, writing, and communication skills.

  • Analytical and technical aptitude, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to clients.

  • Creative problem-solving skills to overcome sales obstacles.

  • Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work independently in a small team environment.
