Position: Store Development Manager
The Store Development Manager will oversee the entire store lifecycle, including the opening of new stores, remodeling projects, preventative maintenance, and repairs. This role combines creativity, project management, and technical knowledge to ensure stores provide a consistent, engaging customer experience aligned with brand standards.
You will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, landlords, and other stakeholders to ensure stores are visually appealing, safe, operationally efficient, and compliant with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Store Design
Adapt international store design concepts for the local market while ensuring regulatory compliance and brand consistency.
Manage the end-to-end design and construction process for new openings and remodels, from initial feasibility to project completion.
Oversee external contractors, vendors, and design firms to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at high quality.
Review architectural and engineering plans to ensure compliance with landlord standards and building codes.
Coordinate with Visual Merchandising, Operations, and Field teams for events and store-specific initiatives.
Store Maintenance
Develop and implement preventive maintenance and repair strategies across assigned stores.
Manage vendor relationships to maintain service quality, efficiency, and compliance with brand standards.
Conduct annual inspections to assess store conditions and ensure safety compliance.
Provide technical support and guidance to store teams on maintenance-related issues.
Contribute insights for annual real estate and store planning, considering store performance and conditions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years in retail, commercial spaces, store design, construction, interior design, or maintenance.
Strong knowledge of design, construction, and maintenance processes for retail stores.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management.
Effective cost and schedule management skills, with strong problem-solving abilities.
Strong Japanese communication skills; business-level English preferred.
