Tier 1 US investment management firm with around $500 billion AUM globally, that offers high-quality research and diversified investment services to institutional investors, financial intermediaries and private-wealth clients in major global markets. The firms client base includes some of Japans and the worlds leading institutions as well as private-wealth clients and retail investors. They have offices around the world, reflecting their global capabilities and supporting the needs of their clients.


Main responsibilities include:

  • Oversee day-to-day supervision of Client Relations Associates in Japan

  • Set clear team goals

  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics

  • Liaise with various internal business units to meet client and prospect needs;

  • Partner with relationship managers and sales to strengthen relationships with clients and prospects

  • Account management including new account opening/closing, guideline management;

  • Client reporting

  • Client servicing and prospecting materials such as presentations and correspondence;

  • Coordination of business development activities including RFPs and DDQs;



  • 5+ year of experience in client service for institutional clients and/or pension fund clients in Japan 

  • Professional qualifications such as CFA/CMA are a plus but not a must 

  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong Japanese language skills (native or JLPT N1 lvl) as well as high business level English skills / ability to communicate in English on a daily basis 

  • Experience with RFPs and DDQs
