Compensation: ¥7.5M–¥8.5M (Competitive, based on experience)
Overview
A global organization is seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead mission‑critical facility projects in Japan.
This role oversees construction, electrical power systems, HVAC, and MEP-related project delivery while collaborating with cross‑border teams in an international environment.
The ideal candidate will manage new builds, expansions, and refurbishments for large‑scale data center environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end project management for data center construction, expansion, and refurbishment
Manage and review facility‑related designs, including:
Building & structural construction
Electrical systems (power supply, UPS, generators)
HVAC, cooling, and mechanical systems
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and facility vendors
Control schedule, cost, quality, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle
Serve as the main point of contact for clients and internal teams
Communicate effectively with overseas stakeholders and vendors in English
Prepare and maintain project documentation in both Japanese and English
Required Qualifications
Native‑level Japanese proficiency
Business‑level English (meetings, emails, documentation)
Proven project management experience in data centers or large‑scale facility projects
Strong technical knowledge of construction, electrical power, and HVAC/MEP systems
Experience collaborating with contractors, design firms, and facility vendors
Preferred Qualifications
Hands‑on experience in data center design, construction, or operations
Certifications such as Architect, Electrical Engineer, Construction Management, PMP, etc.
Experience managing global or cross‑border projects
Excellent stakeholder management and client‑facing skills
