Position: MD Allocator – Japan

About the Role
The MD Allocator is responsible for overseeing merchandise allocation and ensuring products are distributed to stores efficiently and on schedule. This role requires analyzing sales performance and inventory data to make informed allocation decisions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support sales and ensure accurate delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales trends and inventory levels to determine allocation strategies.

  • Monitor store stock levels and adjust allocations when necessary.

  • Plan delivery schedules based on weekly sales targets to support retail performance.

  • Partner with MD/VMD, Retail, and other internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.

  • Prepare and maintain reports on inventory flow and allocation results.

  • Set initial allocation and replenishment levels according to store capacity.

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory.

  • Stay informed on market trends and recommend allocation adjustments based on consumer demand.

  • Contribute to the development of new tools and processes for allocation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in retail (store or office), inventory management, or allocation.

  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, etc.) and data analysis tools.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in MD, allocation, or store sales management.

  • Experience in the apparel or footwear industry.

  • Familiarity with SAP systems.
