Position Summary

The PR Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the brand’s visibility, image, and desirability in the Japanese market. Working closely with the local marketing team, global communications, and external agencies, the PR Coordinator will support the implementation of public relations strategies and ensure consistent brand storytelling across earned media.

Key Responsibilities

<PR & Media Relations>

  • Help carry out the yearly communication plan, making sure it matches the overall brand direction and international standards.

  • Handle daily tasks such as sharing news, responding to information requests, and arranging product mentions in media.

  • Contribute ideas for local stories, opportunities, and partnerships that reflect the brand’s high-end image.

  • Build and maintain good relationships with people in the media, including writers, content creators, stylists, and influencers.

  • Assist in tracking media coverage to ensure the brand is represented clearly and consistently.

  • Work under the guidance of the PR manager in Japan and assist in various communication activities within the country.

<Press Materials & Product Requests>

  • Create and adapt press materials and background documents to fit the local market.

  • Oversee the handling of product samples, including organizing items for media use, managing inventory, and tracking usage.

  • Arrange and manage the logistics for media photoshoots and collaborations with influencers.

<Events & Brand Activities>

  • Help organize and carry out PR events, media previews, and promotional brand experiences.

  • Support guest list coordination, track responses, and manage event-related details.

  • Provide on-site support during events, assisting with media and influencer engagement and follow-up.

  • Collect and organize media coverage reports on a regular basis, including weekly updates, campaign summaries, and as-needed reports.

  • Monitor and record performance indicators tied to PR and influencer efforts.

  • Keep an eye on competitor activity and stay informed about broader industry developments.

Requirements

  •  Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Fashion, or related field.

  •  3+ years of experience in PR or communications, ideally in the luxury, fashion, or beauty industry.

  • Fluent in Japanese; business-level English required.

  • Strong understanding of the Japanese media and influencer landscape.

  •  Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Passion for luxury and fine jewelry, with sensitivity to high-end brand environments.

  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with PR reporting tools.
