Position Title:
PR & Communications Manager (Japan)
Role Overview:
This role is responsible for enhancing brand visibility and supporting sales through strategic PR and communications efforts. You will have the opportunity to bring creativity, passion, and a proactive approach to your work. Success in this role requires being self-driven while also collaborating closely with local and international teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive PR and communications strategy, including social media, budget planning, and tactical execution
Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, influencers, and stylists to secure impactful coverage across TV, digital, and social channels
Plan and manage local events and promotions in coordination with internal teams, agencies, and specialists
Track and analyze campaign performance, sharing insights and reports regularly with stakeholders
Manage product seeding to celebrities and influencers
Oversee sample loans for editorial features across TV, print, and digital platforms
Monitor influencer social media activity and respond in real-time where needed
Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports
Train and guide a PR assistant
Handle budgeting and cost control for all PR-related activities
Plan and execute bi-annual sample sales
Requirements:
5–8 years of experience in PR, communications, or marketing, ideally within fashion or lifestyle industries
Established network within the media and influencer space
Strong creativity and initiative, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
Proven ability to work collaboratively and drive team success
Prior experience managing junior staff or assistants
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Native-level Japanese and business-level English
