Overview

This role is responsible for supporting the training, development, and performance enhancement of retail teams across Japan. The Training Manager will deliver effective training programs using materials and guidance provided by global and regional teams, helping drive overall retail business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and support Store Managers in conducting onboarding sessions for new employees.

  • Identify training needs in cooperation with senior retail leadership and global partners.

  • Lead training sessions for retail teams to improve key business indicators.

  • Apply a variety of training approaches, including gamification, case studies, and group activities.

  • Create and manage role-play scenarios that simulate real in-store situations.

  • Maintain and update training materials, curriculum, and documentation.

  • Contribute to future planning and strategy related to retail training.

  • Demonstrate leadership aligned with organizational values and leadership standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Ability to travel to retail locations as necessary.

  • Capability to manage the entire training cycle, including both in-person and online training.

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to motivate retail staff to achieve sales objectives.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience as a Retail Trainer or similar role, especially with international retail brands.

  • Background in the retail industry.

  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.

  • Basic IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
